ONCE YOU BOOK WITH THE BOAT

PICK A STATEROOM:

After getting your confirmation from the landing, request a stateroom or a bunk. If you are tall, consider a double wide bunk, as those are more accommodating.

RESERVE A PROCESSOR:

Once you email the landing with your bunk, make your fish processor reservation. Based on input from dozens of BD members, I am going with Five Star for a same day with freeze for next day pickup processing. I have not talked to them about specifics yet, however I did make my reservation online on their site. Find Links below. There are many processors in town that will meet us at the landing upon our return to land and pick our fish up. We will pick it up in portion sized, vacuum sealed, and optionally frozen.

Arrange Travel:

I am driving to Lancaster and staying with my sister on the 15th and arriving in San Diego the morning of the 16th with plenty of time to spare before loading.

MAKE AN ACCOUNT ON BDOUTDOORS AND START LEARNING:

Bloody Decks is an amazing place to learn and ask any question you may have. I've met people that knew my grandpa on there, people that are joining our trip and providing some tackle, and some highly experienced folk with seriously helpful info. you can find me as HobieFishin. Ronaldo is on there too. I have several posts that will be relevant for your planning that are linked on the Charters page and will be referenced below. From how much to budget, to what specifically to pack for you, tackle, how to and where to rent, anything to the finest detail can be found here in endlessly relevant posts.

TELL HOBIE YOUR SHIRT SIZE:

STFU its a surprise...

When you Arrive in San Diego:

Parking is $12 a day in a secure gated lot.

2838 Garrison Street

San Diego, CA, 92106

Phone: (619) 221-8500

My plan is to arrive early and visit the Landings tackle shop and rental facility and roam about a bit as a tourist to check things out. After that, I’ll grab something to eat and meet up with you all before we start loading. Since the boat departs from the landing at 11 a.m., we should have plenty of time to load up and relax before we set off.
